Why is it important to understand the biotic and abiotic factors of an ecosystem?
It is important to understand the biotic and abiotic factors of an ecosystem because they balance each other out. They, together, show us how the organisms survive. The organisms' structures vary in different biomes. Also, we can understand the topography of the region if we study the abiotic factors of the biome.

How are Earth's ecosystems categorized into different biomes?
The ecosystems all around the world can be categorized into different biomes. These biomes are usually categorized by location. This is because the location is the main reason why the biomes are so different. The difference in climate, organisms, and abiotic factors are there because of the different locations on the globe. What makes a biome itself is mainly its climate, biotic, and abiotic factors.

How is the desert biome unique to all other biomes?

The desert is unique to all other biomes because of its intense climate. The desert usually has very high temperatures. They get a very little amount of rain per year. The amount varies a lot depending on the year, but it is usually low. Because of the dry climate and the great amount of sunlight hitting the desert, plants and animals are limited to living there and have to adapt well to the environment.
